That makes me all the more grateful to be able to share with you today the first version of the Tech Sales Temple Herald.

#1 TST Updates

I used the holidays to rework a few things, so take a look at the site, it has now arrived in this century!

1.1 Mission

It was also important to me to really define my why, the mission of Tech Sales Temple. I came to the following:

“Empowering humanity to thrive by helping sales professionals to become the best version of themselves and making Tech Sales accessible for everyone”.

My personal why is also that at the beginning of 2024 I was in a very hard situation where I wished to ask a community of Tech Sales professionals anonymous a question. Since I have not found a community where I could get high-quality answers to hard questions, I decided to build one myself.

1.2. The Ultimate Guide to Prospecting in 2025

I reworked the Ultimate Guide to Prospecting in 2025 - Of course, you do not need to reinvent the wheel next year. However, my key takeaway is to use video prospecting more and in general in the whole sales process. I achieved great results with this (e.g. a Champion shared a video with the CEO) and I want to explore more in 2025. Another driver for this is that B2B Buyers only spent 17% of their time with sales professionals, which is why I want to focus more time on asynchronous selling.

1.3. Sales Books

Furthermore, the Sales Book List was also reworked. My recommendation for 2025: Selling Technology the Sandler Way by Rich Chiarello. I listened to this book while being on the road via Audible. My key takeaway from Rich Chiarello, who has been over 25 years in the industry is that technology is never an end in itself. Technology is always solving a problem and selling Tech is about solving that problem. This was the case 25 years ago and this is the case today.

1.4. Mutual Action Plan Template

Probably one of my most missed articles this year is my Mutual Action Plan Template which you can find in the corresponding article. To be honest not every blog post/article on the website is brand new knowledge and it can’t be, because some knowledge has been there for thousands of years. However, being 100% honest, I think my Mutual Action Plan Template is the best that is currently available, especially for complex Enterprise Deals. So make sure to take a look.

#2 Best of TST Community Forum

Since only one member, a mysterious “Black Swan” has posted in the last 4 weeks I am not able to pick any Cherrys. However, if you have not checked it out yet, make sure to read the Post “My top 7 Tech Sales lessons of 2024”. I would love to hear your opinion!

#3 Looking ahead

What’s up for 2025? I want to double down on the community. Increase the number of active members in the forum and the number of newsletter subscribers. The path is not completely clear, but what gives me hope is that Google starts ranking my content. +Since September I have consistently published one article per week.

Dear reader, please stick with me, I won’t give up, maybe we really will succeed in building a thriving community!
